Does this look like the face of a Bill O’Brien look-a-like who robbed a rub ‘n tug?
Mercury News – A San Jose man pleaded not guilty to burglarizing a Woodside Road massage business Monday, smearing blood across the walls and yelling allegations about prostitution there.
Officers found Alan Patrick Stinson about 11:10 p.m. in the entryway of the Woodside Spa with his hands and face coated in blood, officials said. The 32-year-old man reportedly shattered the glass front door at 1511 Woodside Road and stole $735 from the business’s office.
The man badly cut himself when he broke the front door with his shoulder, and he smudged blood across the walls and floor while looking for the cash, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. An employee sleeping upstairs was unharmed in the incident.
According to Wagstaffe, the man was ranting and raving and yelled “I blame this all on the alcohol and drugs,” but showed no signs of actual intoxication — only anger. On his way to jail, he told officers “I’ve been there lots of times.”
Wagstaffe said there was neither evidence to support that Stinson had ever been a patron, nor that anything illicit had been going on at the business. San Mateo County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Rosenblatt confirmed that the Woodside Spa had never been the subject of a criminal investigation.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office did shut down nearby Asian Spa in 2013, one-tenth of a mile up the road from Woodside Spa. One of the employees at Asian Spa, Richmond resident Mei Cheng, was arrested Nov. 6, 2012 after an undercover officer solicited her for a sexual act.
Stinson remains in jail on $25,000 bail, and will return to court May 5 for preliminary hearing.
What a fucker indeed! Woke up the illegal sex worker sleeping under the stairs for Christ’s sake! Show some respect instead of bursting in the glass front door like a brazen jackass getting blood everywhere. Clean it up, Bizarro O’Brien.
The part I love about this is his utmost professional attitude towards being arrested. Cop to what caused him to go apeshit at the “spa,” said he was angry (mostly at himself) and the prospect of jail being not that big a deal because hey, I’ve been there, I’ve done that. Like a veteran in the NBA just raising his hand after a blatant foul. Love his responsibility to owning up to it.
Sneaky subplot of the article, although clearly it’s a rub ‘n tug, is the other spa’s mention and the undercover officer’s interaction. That must be the dream job on the vice squad, right? Even though they’re not supposed to consummate the act(s) they def do, right? Have to, straight up McNulty style.
